Terms of Service
Last updated: 31 May 2026
These terms govern your use of Domain Privacy Monitor (the "Service"), operated by LQM Studio, trading name of Maud Royer Conseil ("we", "us").

The Service
The Service monitors public WHOIS records for domains you specify and emails you when it detects a change. It is an informational tool — it does not register, transfer, renew, or otherwise act on domains.
Account
You need a valid email address to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping access to your email address and for the activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the legal capacity to enter into a contract.
Subscription and billing
The Service is sold as a yearly subscription, billed in advance through Stripe.
The subscription renews automatically for successive one-year periods at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
We may change pricing for future renewal periods. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before any price change takes effect, giving you time to cancel before it applies.
Paid amounts are non-refundable except where required by law. Under French and EU consumer law, where applicable, you waive your 14-day right of withdrawal once monitoring begins, as the Service is fully performed during the subscription period.
Doing our best, but no warranty
We genuinely care about getting this right, and we work hard to make the Service accurate and reliable. But we have to be upfront about something: WHOIS records come from hundreds of different registries and registrars, each with their own format, quirks, and update schedules. Some are messy, some are incomplete, some change format without warning. We do our best to parse them all correctly, but we can't promise we always will.
So in plain terms: the Service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We can't guarantee that every alert will be perfectly timely, that we'll catch every single change, or that the Service will never have a hiccup. We'll keep improving it, and if you spot something we got wrong, please tell us at hello@lqmstudio.com — we want to know.
Because of this, please don't treat the Service as the single source of truth for your domains. Think of it as a helpful second pair of eyes. For anything with real legal, financial, or security stakes, double-check the WHOIS record directly with the authoritative registry or registrar.
Limitation of liability
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profit, business, opportunity, or reputation arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including any missed, delayed, or inaccurate alert. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to monitor domains for unlawful purposes, to harass any person, or to circumvent rate limits or technical protections. We may suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the Service, without refund.
Termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service, in whole or in part, with reasonable notice, or immediately in case of material breach or legal requirement.
On termination, your access ends and we delete your account data in line with our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will notify you by email before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law. Disputes will be brought before the competent courts of France, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules granting you the right to sue in your country of residence.
